Privacy Policy

1. Your journal stays private

Your journal entries and related app settings are stored on your device. Gratitude Journal does not require an account, and we cannot view, read, or recover your journal entries.

2. Limited usage data

We collect limited information about the app and how it is used, such as feature interactions, general app and device information, system language, and approximate region.

We use this information only to understand usage patterns, maintain reliability, and improve the app. We work with trusted third-party analytics providers to process this information.

Usage data does not include your journal text, specific entry dates, reminder content or time, exported files, feedback messages, contacts, precise location, or advertising identifiers. It is not linked to an account and is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Features you choose to use

Depending on your iPhone settings, app data may be included in a device backup managed by you and Apple. We cannot access that backup.

If you export your journal, the app creates a file on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. The destination you choose is responsible for the copy you send or save.

Reminders are scheduled locally after you allow notifications and do not contain your journal text.

If you contact support, we receive only the email and information you choose to send. The app does not attach your journal.

4. Sharing and your choices

We do not sell your information or share it for targeted advertising. Limited information may be processed by service providers that help us operate, analyze, and support the app, or disclosed when required by law.

You can delete journal entries in the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data from that device. Exported files, sent emails, and backup copies must be managed where you chose to store them.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. The current version and updated date will remain available at this address.
